Technical Requirements

The following are the technical requirements to integrate with UPS APIs:

  • Use standard HTTP operations and practices, including SSL connections OAuth-Code flow.
  • Use RESTful methodologies and design patterns.
  • Use OAuth 2.0. authentication for API access.
  • Design and implement a strategy for your existing software for handling errors.

NOTE: Unable to upgrade to RESTful at this time? Please reference the Steppingstone model found in the Resources section to use OAuth with an existing SOAP/XML request.
